Hottest Color Combos for Your Next Art Project

by Designs Digital Agency 24 May 2024

Because color is so essential and communicative, it's possible that, as a designer, you have never used a more potent tool. It evokes emotion, influences our perception, inspires responses — conscious or subconscious — and even impacts generational appeal. With 16.8 million colors available, you might use countless color combinations for your next site design, brand identity design, or logo. Fortunately, we have you covered.

Different Color Combinations

The most important component of every design is the color scheme. Selecting the ideal color scheme for your project might be difficult because there are millions of color combinations, both good and bad. Color palettes come in handy here.

You can use color schemes and combinations to reflect your brand or communicate particular messages to your audience. You may even come upon a website or file that uses a specific set of colors. You can select the colors you want and add them to your project files using a color extractor.

  • Rich Neutrals
Colors can be powerful even when they are subdued. While you would associate muted colors like oatmeal, beige, eggshell, and off-white with retiring or demure styles, the opulent neutral color trend shows that a subdued color scheme can feel as confident and relaxed as one much brighter.
  • Vibrant Bubblegum
Imagine Millennial Pink, only much more assertive. The whimsical pastels of the Y2K era served as inspiration for last year's millennial kitsch style, which is where the vibrant bubblegum color trend originated. However, brands went even louder in response to last year's Barbie-pink frenzy, which is why 2024's color scheme is even crisper and more intense. As the name implies, vibrant bubblegum colors are straight out of the candy store. Imagine pastel pinks, blues, and purples combined with sharp accents of yellow or green. In challenging circumstances, this fun, energetic, and youthful trend may help match your small business with happy optimism.
  • Digital Noir
This palette of sad, melancholic grays, ranging from faint smoke to black charcoal, may be chosen by a sentient computer display if it had to choose a new outfit. Like the gloomy sci-fi color trend from the previous year, digital noir speaks to our growing discomfort with technological progress. However, this year's style is far more severe, lacking whimsical nods to future themes. It might assist you in projecting the image of your small company as dependable and resilient—a brand that clients can rely on in trying times.
  • Tangy, Zesty Citrus
Do you want your branding to stand out? Sharp and zesty green and yellow hues can give a brand a fresh, bubbly, and uplifting appearance. This is precisely why soft drink firms like using them; in their 2023 rebrands, Fanta and 7Up both boosted their citrusy hues. By using a zesty, eye-catching citrus color scheme, you can show your customers that you're really excited about your product and can't wait to show it to them.
  • Oceanic Color Pallets
Do you feel limited by the obstacles and constraints of contemporary life? The trend of oceanic hue waves is out of this world. It's a color palette that brings up the deep blue sea's boundless possibilities and gloomy peace. This theme includes bright oranges, greens of coral reefs, and undulating blues suggestive of sweeping waves. Use it to make your customers curious about what's underneath.

Ending

Finding the ideal hues, tones, and shades to support your brand in navigating a changing environment with assurance is the key to understanding the color trends 2024. Even if you don't plan to experiment with an apricot crush container design or a citrus-inspired logo design, these popular hues remind us to communicate our brand's viewpoint as openly and forcefully as possible as we approach the new year.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
